Potential 360 Owner

#1 Post by mpilihp »

Hello Im new here, been driving a V8 mustang as a summer fun car for 20 years and getting bored with it I guess, also sick of paying $50 to fill it up! I was looking at getting a small Fiat but then ran across a 360, the Yellow one on Ebay, thought it was the coolest thing Id seen in along time, the sucide doors are really neat.

Anyhow theres another one for sale on ebay, more my price range and shape (I like project cars)

Any suggestions on what that car is worth? I do want to get a 360 but dont want to overpay for a car Ill be sinking alot into anyhow.

Thanks for your comments.

Phil - the value of a 360 depends on the condition and the rarity of the body style. I encourage members to report actual sale prices to me so I can report to the NADA guide (which until this year published sale price ranges for all 360s) and also write appraisals for members whose 360s are damaged by accident or theft.

The yellow Young on e-bay was bought recently for $7500., a new record for a Young. He is now trying to resell it on e-bay for a profit, but (I am happy to say) has so far been unsuccessful.

One rare "Zatmobile" was bought 2 years ago by a dealer in FL for $8000. He immediately tried to resell it in Hemmings' for $20,000., and when that didn't work he tried e-bay. I don't think it ever sold either. I think it's a shame when driveable 360s go to scalpers who want to make a fast buck, instead of hobbyists who want to drive them, have fun, and save gasoline.

Based on recent member-to-member sales, you should be able to find a running sedan in need of not too much work for $2500. - $3000. You probably won't find it on e-bay. If you want a really nice one you will pay more. If you are willing to start with a "restorable" one you can find them for much less.

Hi thanks, im keeping my eye open. This one on ebay looks like a major project car, maybe more than I can do, its currently going for $760 and has a couple more days to go.

Phil - if it looks like a major project, and it's on e-bay, it's probably really a parts car and alredy bid beyond its actual value.
