Trade Legacy for a 360...worht it?

#1 Post by Shemoves »

I currently have a '94 Legacy SS that I have been considering trading for a 1968 360 truck in good condition. What do you guys think?

Is this a lime green pickup with California plates? If so, I owned it a few years ago. Roger Ward

yah it's that one. I don't think I am going to do it anymore...it just does not seem that practical for me as I have to drive all over the greater phoenix area for work. It was my estimation that these do not do very well on freeways...but I'd prefer to be told otherwise.

On another note, although our 'trade' would be the easy way, the person selling it could prolly sell it, buy a car just like mine or better, and have cash leftover.

I wouldn't recommend any 360 for the kind of use you're talking about. They can be made pretty reliable but there's still the comfort factor. No A/C, tight seating area, etc. That particular truck has had a lot of body work; when I had it, it was red with a lot of dents. It was pretty much rust-free and would be a good candidate for restoration but it needed more energy and money than I was willing to put into it. It surfaced again in L.A. several months ago with a small specialty car dealer; I went to see it, not knowing it was one I'd previously owned. As a hobby car, it's probably worth having. To me, it's worth about $1,500 to $2,000, but I suspect the seller wants much more.
